On 1 July 2015, there will be an amalgamation of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) with the Australian and Customs Border Protection Service.

The Australian Government has announced that following the combining of these two units, a new email address will be introduced which will come into effect on 1 July 2015.  Emails will change from @immi.gov.au or @customs.gov.au to @border.gov.au.
